ImLive HD Streamer

(a better replacement for ImLive’s ImlStreamer application)

ImLive HD Streamer is our replacement for ImLive.com camsite (ImlStreamer).

As you probably know already, we already created a replacement for XLoveCam’s FluxManager, as you can see on our product’s page, here.
Technology-speaking, ImLive’s HD Streamer is far more advanced than XLoveCam’s FluxManager, but doable. So CHATLIVE team created a software application which can be used as a replacement for ImLive’s ImlStreamer: ImLive HD Streamer.

Our installer for ImLive HD Streamer (see bellow for the DEMO version that you can try yourself):

• ImLive HD Streamer installs all necessary files, including .NET framework service packs and the latest 3.5 .NET framework
• ImLive HD Streamer allows you to install Adobe’s FMLE (version 3.2 is included in the installer)
• Allows you to install Flash Player v11 for both browsers and ActiveX usage, and for both x86 and x64 CPU architectures
• Allows you to install ShockWave Flash player in case you need it
• Will also install FFActiveX (FireFox ActiveX plugin). Without it, neither ImlStreamer nor our ImLive HD Streamer will not work.

In order to customize the FMLE settings XML file for ImLive HD Streamer, please check our guide to customize Adobe’s FMLE settings for adult videochat, and do not forget that at last step (step (9)) you will need to save all custom FMLE settings to “>> Program Files >> Common Files >> CHATLIVE >> ImLiveHQStreamer.xml”.

What other computer requirements should you meet in order to be able to use ImLive HD Streamer?

• the user using XLoveCam HD Streamer needs to be part of the “Power Users” group policy.
  because the application needs to spawn other threads and launch other applications (like the Adobe’s FMLE)
• the user using this XLoveCam HD Streamer needs also to be part of the “Network Configuration” group policy.
  because XLoveCam HD Streamer needs to open a network connection on the local machine (no virus threats, rest assured)
• You need Firefox version 3.0 or later (all version till 8.0 have been tested)
• You need to uninstall ImLive’s ImlStreamer application, otherwise ImLive HD Streamer would not work. The same, if you want to use again ImLive’s original version, you will need to first uninstall ImLive HD Streamer and then install their version.

• Windows XP (32bit and 64bit)
• Windows Vista all versions (32bit and 64bit)
• Windows 7 all versions (32bit and 64bit)
• Windows Server 2003
• Windows Server 2008

ATTENTION: There is a downside of using our replacement.
If you ever worked with ImLive, you already know that, when online, you are able to see yourself in a small “square” region, live.
ImLive team bought a license for VCam SDK and developed their custom Virtual WebCamera, which allows them to use the same video feed in both the website and in the live encoder.

The downside is that you cannot see yourself live in that small square because we don’t implement VCam SDK (too expensive to be frank). But there is also a downside for ImLive’s original version, because they “require” additional per-processing of the video feed, which eats CPU time.

Let me draw a littler, so you will understand:
IMLIVE’s version: VIDEO-CAMERA –> VCam SDK –> (1) website –> (2) FMLE –> internet users
CHATLIVE’s version: VIDEO-CAMERA –> FMLE –> internet users

So what ImLive achieves in 5 steps, we achieve in 3 steps, with the loss of “not being able to see yourself LIVE”.
BUT, in videochat ALMOST ALL PERFORMERS actually use a webcam splitter software (like VerySoft WebCamSplitter or SplitCam, etc). YOU, as performer, can already see yourself in the splitter’s preview window. Why would it help you to see yourself again on the website too?
In our studio no girls complained that they cannot see themselves in the little square on ImLive website They have at least 2-3 other sources where they can see themselves.
