This is for all the new models or relatively new models wanting to learn the ropes. Ive gone through all 18 pages on the forum and now have compiled all of it for you guys. If there is anything that I have left out seasoned models please feel free to add it. this is going to be quite long so brace yourselves =) I’m also going to have sub categories in here in case you guys are looking for something specific you can just scroll down to it instead of reading through the whole thing. Since there is no bold option the sub categories will be in bold. Happy reading hope this helps you guys n girls out =)

Oh and i would have loved being able to credit all the models in the other forums but taking quotes and names (thank you guys and girls), but it would have made this even longer. When you guys are reading this, this doesn’t mean that I’ve come up with everything all on my own. Some of this has come from other models, some of this has come from me. This isn’t meant to be bias also.

CONVERSION RATE:

Your conversion rate basically means the amount of time you’ve spent online and in pvt (they take the amount time spent online vs the amount of time in a pvt to get your % if your online for three hours and have a 20%, that means 20% of the time you’ve spent online you’ve been pvt.) You conversion rate isn’t going to even out until you’ve made regulars. I wouldn’t worry about you % until after the first month of working here. Also even after you’ve been working here for awhile your number will change. My manager has told me that at a constant 20% con. fir two weeks you can do show/ multi user pvts. Also at 30% for two weeks you can become premier, meaning no greys!

VISITING MODELS

Some models don’t mind a visit from fellow models use common courtesy. Don’t announce your self to the whole room as such and such model. You are going in there to spend time with that model not to promote yourself. Whisper that model (ex. /kittyfox) it also says how to whisper in the model manual in case I’ve said how to do it wrong (someone call me out if i did lol). Ask permission to be there from the model (in the whisper hey I’m so and so is ok if I hang out in your room for a few?) If they say no then obviously you should leave. Keep in mind you are in their work space, so as far as behavior go by the room rules the model has. Be respectful, how would you feel if a fellow model was in your room treating you like crap? To go into another models room, and be able to whisper you have to make an account (speaking of… I think that anyone who has an account that would like to be contacted by other models via email on the site, or just visited should start a thread and put your names in there)

BROADCASTING RULES:

Know them, memorize them, live by them on cam. There are a lot of models (I’ve read in the forums) who are un named but breaking rules. You have to agree to these every time you go live. If your breaking the rules by showing your puss. or your dick in free your not only hurting yourself but other models too. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Also when your doing things like that, members will go to someone else’s room and ask that model to show their puss or cock and when that model says no the member goes “oh well this other model did it foe me” and makes the second model look bad for not doing it, even tho that model IS doing what they are supposed to.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR PROFILE:

This depends on if you have your state / city blocked. If you don’t then go onto flirt4free and search for your model name from there you can find yourself. However if you do have your state / city blocked then you won’t be able to see your profile. Thank you to the Admins here, they have made it so we can see our reviews even if our state is blocked. We can see our pics from the area where we upload new ones, and our bio from where we edit it. The only down side is we cant see our rating, but you can judge it off of the reviews. Also we can’t see the whole kit and kaboodle of our own “page” but we can get the basic idea of how ours looks based off of how the other models “pages” look.

AUDIO:

Not everyone is cut out 100% comfy with audio. BUT audio helps! I (I’m sure along with a bunch of other models on here ) suggest using audio. It helps the mood of your room, and helps guys get in the mood if they can hear you moaning in a pvt, or hear your sexy laugh. It saves time in convo talking than typing everything, and helps the convo flow better for that much. If your not comfy using it take baby steps. There’s no reason you should have to jump head first into it. Turn it on have some music playing in the background, and type, if they want you to talk say hey or something carry on your convo and then go back to typing. Honestly the hardest part for me when I started using my audio was while I was in pvt. Knowing that someone other than my B/f was going to hear me moaning and talking dirty was hard for me. Over time you get used to it and now it’s no biggie. But it takes time to get used to audio just like it takes time to get used to showing your tits on cam.

MUSIC:

My manager told me unapproved music was anything that was “gang like” ie. killing, drugs, heavy swearing. Also the nice admins at flirt have royalty free music that we can DL and play. Music for me helps the time go by faster and gives me one more thing to talk about in my chat. When chat does slow down (and it will everyone has those “dull” moments in chat) It allows me to sing along and dance to my music to try to liven things back up

**Bry’s note- If you do play any music that is not the royalty free that Flirt offers, it must not be audible to the customers, ever. Even if you are in open, with the mute on, if a customer takes you pvt, and it can be heard in those first few moments, you can be fined for it. I would suggest doing as some models do, and use a private music player, like an iPod.**
ESP:

Eyes, smile and, personality this is a big thing for our members so use it! Be you and have fun! There is a Thread on the Straight fantasy board called ESP models take a look at it.

PRIVATES:

There is no magical key to getting people to take you pvt. You know your assets, you know the things you will and will not do, work that. Your new, work the “oh I’m new and innocent” angle. There are some nights where the top models on here work for three hours and don’t get a pvt. The point is there are slow nights and nights that you don’t even get a breather before your in the next pvt. Here are a couple things that will help you

Play some music in the background, wear sexy clothes, if you have curves show em off, you have a massive toy collection, show it off and then tell the guys if they take you pvt they get to pick which one you use.

1. Keep a note book… remember all your shows… who took you.. how long they spent.. what they liked… etc.. nothing says regular.. like remembering a show from last week… these men all want to think there special. ( Brandi’s side note, if some one takes you pvt write them an email “oh hey i had a wonderful time with you today. hope to see you again real soon, next time i’ll…..”)

2. Requests in Free Chat – this is probably the question I am asked the most…. My advice to my models is this… Control your room.. be consistent with your room rules… and enlist your HANGERs (hangers are the guys that are always in your room) to help enforce and support you as you wait for your next show.

3. Use the FAKE Button… if you do not want to show your ASS in free.. then create a FAKE PVT and give yourself a 2 min pvt.. so the VIPs can see you .. and the main gallery shows your DESIRABLE…..

4. YOUR NOT A CLOWN.. USE YOUR VOD…. there is so much debate on VOD here on our boards… in my studio.. .VOD is a main tool… we tell all men to look at the VOD if you want to see what they will do.. want there ass looks like… … when they say Get Me Hard.. we tell them wank in VOD.. come to us when you ready to direct your own show.

   Also.. review certain shows that you can list on your bio…. this is my College Girl Show.. this is my Fantasy Nurse Show…etc.. start to make a catalog and use your VOD to make more money and more regulars… Trust me.. this is a total control niche… VOD is simply the fluffer to your main performances.

5. Use your head…. you can shame a show here… you will get two results if you call a man out to his face.. he will leave.. or he will make a Show… if you are good with expression of ‘Hurt”… you will find men take you to make you smile… some of my girls are masters at this… some never disrobe.. they make money talking ..etc

6. LEARN HOW TO GFE…. this is how you make real money at Chat…..)))) Use your Free Chat for talking to your men… YOUR MEN.. and for recruiting more…. make sure you try to create a room where the members feel welcome… again tell all your regular hangers to also recite your “creed”

   “Hey new guy.. be nice.. read her bio.. see her VOD.. come back and join us for chat and get to know her… ” etc… this works great.. its like a testimonial.

   See how that works for you.. if you having trouble in Free Chat.. try Semi…but make sure your Gallery is complete and specific.. cause you do not get to sell the show.. the bio does in Semi.

   Finally on the talking… remember.. we have a lot of users that are in offices and or at home… not all have volumes up… we find a Mix in Free is good… but our norm is No Audio in Free… you want voice… you pay for it.

There is also a good post on the Fake button when it first came out there was alot of confusion as to what it was, what it was for ect ect. Know when to use it and don’t abuse it. Part of the reason why the models got the whisper taken away (from what I hear this was before I started working here) was because models were taking advantage of it. A couple bad apples ruined it for the rest of us.

1. Good Sample Images. Take your time and upload some sexy photos and choose the best one as your sample image. These images get used on all of our dynamic ads (about 30 million a day). The better your image, the more clicks you’ll receive. Experiment with different images.

2. Good Lighting. If you see customers go into your room and leave right away, check your lighting. Poor lighting ruins the video and will not make you look as good as possible!

3. Good Audio. Invest in a decent microphone so customers can hear you in open. Use the audio (even if your English isn’t good) to connect with customers.

SAYING HELLO TO EVERYONE:

This is something that was asked in a post mainly just to see if everyone did it, did it make a difference and if it was even worth it. The way I see it is any guy can look at pictures of porn, the thing that sets us apart is we can talk!! Some of them talk some of them don’t you can’t win them all. Say hi to everyone that comes into your room, it gets hard when your room is full and personally once my room hits the point where it has the scroll bar in it, i stop saying hi to people when they come in and I say hi to the ones that start talking to me. The main ones that your going to want to pay attention to are the White and Gold / yellow guys but say hey to the greys too. After all we are trying to get them on board the site also =)

WHAT DO THEY WANT IN PVT:

Some guys will whisper you and ask ” if i take you pvt will you strip down for me as fast as you can, and use your biggest toy” That’s a big hint that they aren’t the talking type. Other guys will take you pvt with out warning and your left wondering ok what do i do. Lead into it, ask them where they are from, their age, stuff like that. If they get sick of talking some of them will be like hey why don’t you get naked for me. You basically just have to feel them out. There is really no right or wrong way to do this. Once you get into private, unless the guy request you do things in a hurry, don’t rush. Ask him what he wants to do and sometimes you may be surprised.

PERIOD

I used to take off for my “broken week” I started reading up on what I could do instead of missing a full week and trying to come up with a diff reason each time why I wasn’t on for a week. Sea sponges work wonders. They are found in the bath soaps and what not at wal-mart (I’m sure other stores have them) but it costs about 3.00 and is reusable. I posted this awhile ago on a diff forum but I have no problems re-posting it here. I cut the sponge (which is about the size of a flat softball) into tampon sized strips. This gives me about 6-8 strips. So already that’s 6-8months worth of tampons I don’t have to buy, if i chose to use the sponge 24/7 for the full broken week. (think of the money saved there) Then when I’m broken and I’m ready to work. I run one of the strips under hot water to kill any bacteria that may be one the sponge. I wring it out really really good (you would be amazed how much these things can hold) Take my tampon out and insert the strip of sponge. I push it in as far as I can with out getting it to far in there (so no worries of it getting stuck, if it does get stuck if you push hard it should bring it up far enough for you to be able to reach it.) I take it out each time I go to the bathroom, as I would a tampon, rinse it out really well (which some people aren’t comfortable enough to do), and re-insert it. You can use toys, fingers and, have sex like you normally would like you weren’t even broken. When I’m done working, I take it out for the night. I rinse the sponge out until the water runs clear, fill a small bowl with water throw the sponge in the water and throw it in my microwave for 30 seconds. At that point the water should be extremely hot so let it cool until you can take the sponge out of the water. Wring it out really good, and let it air dry for the night. At the end of my week I toss it. You can keep it longer than that but I don’t find it ness. to do that. After all you still have 5-7 strips left.

** Bry’s note- You can also ordered sponges that are cut for this purpose, and they even come with a bag of their own, and instructions on how to make them last for a long time. (years) I add this, because NONE of the regular stores where I live, carry natural sponges.**

Why other methods might not work:

-With the cup you have to worry about tipping it

-With make-up sponges they trap bacteria and aren’t meant for absorption.

-With tampons, you still have to be careful about the string weather you cut it, color it and tuck it. Plus from what I’ve found its not as easy to use toys fingers or actually have sex with it in.

-Its cheaper than getting the IUD or any other long term B.C. For some of the long term B.C. methods you have to meet “requirements” before they will even consider giving it to you. Plus If you do plan on having kids sometime soon, you have to wait for your body to re-adjust. Just from the IUD it can take 6-12months for your fertility to get back to normal.

YOUR FIRST PRIVATE.

There are a couple things that are going to throw you off while in your first pvt. The timer is counting down, this lets you know how much time he has left. The counter at the end of the show, no one can see you while this counter is running BUT your still going to want to throw at least your undies back on as quick as possible. If you need more time, wait till the counter is about to run out and click break right away. I also just in case move my cam so its pointed at nothing important (like my dresser lol) VIPS can open a c2c (cam to cam). If you let the guys know that its your first day or first pvt show they will “take it easy” and not push you to do somethings. Also IT IS ok to ask the guy what he wants to see.

**Bry’s note- Any member who takes you pvt, can do cam2cam now, as long as the show type support it. **

PHONE YAY OR NAY?

This is pretty much up to you. AS LONG AS your manager / studio says it is. I didn’t know we could use phone until my second day on here a guy asked me if I would. Below is an ex. of what some of the models do (and I’m sorry in advanced I forgot to get the name off of the post, and out of all the things I’ve read today I’m not going to go back to try to find it lol)

“What I do is have them whisper me the ##, or give it to you in Private. then Dial *67 , then dial there number. That way it BLOCKS your number so they don’t get it. I have gotten a couple of long privates doing the phone sex..

Just remember NEVER give someone your number…

You need to make sure that your studio or manager will allow it first not all models have this privilege… We had it where everyone was allowed for a promo but I believe that you can get in trouble if you are not allowed to do it…”

**Bry’s note- I use a prepaid cell-phone, that is registered in my stage name of “Bryanna Spanks”. The address is some made up one based 1800 Cuervo. This way, even if they do have your number somehow, it can’t be traced back you and where you live. Some people will suggest that there is a way for it to be traced by a process called ‘pinging’. But the person would have to be pretty close to you, and have some high tech equipment. And, as Brandi said- make sure your studio allows you to use phone. **

HOW TO REEL THEM IN:

I’m sorry but there is not sure fire way to get them to take you pvt. EVEN if your room is jam packed its not promised you will have a busy night. It does help to take a look at how some of the other models act.

BLOCKING YOUR CITY / STATE:

Ask your studio or manager about this one.I asked the day my manager sent me my paper work. It’s easier to do before you account is setup but is still manageable to do after your hired in. It normally takes 24-48 hours to do (mine was blocked in 24 hours) Blocking your state / city isn’t a 100% sure fire way to make sure your neighbor doesn’t find you one night. If your MOW (model of the week) your area isn’t blocked. Also there are proxy sites that some people can go through. A proxy site basically gives the user a new I.P address and it bypasses the geo block VS has set up for us. My suggestions don’t be shy about your job. I understand not wanting people to find out, but if your comfortable about it that’s really all that matters. The people that genuinely care about you aren’t going to care. Also If you know your doing really good and there is a high chance of you becoming model of the week you can change your picture to something that’s sexy but doesn’t show your face or any “identifying” marks you have. If you’ve made it into MOW ask your studio or manager to change your pic for you.

SPAMMING

Most of the time the spammer gets kicked no warning or anything like that if you have yet to experience it your lucky. Most everyone knows what spamming in a chat looks like. If you don’t want be rude ask the guy to stop (more often than not they are a grey user). If they don’t then you have the option by clicking on their name and banning kicking or ignoring them from your room. Those options are there for us to use within reason. So use them!

SIDE CONVO:

So your sitting in your room having a nice convo and you notice two of your guys talking to each other, its passed the normal hey whats up type of conversation and has led into the so what are you doing this weekend chat. Take control of your room. The guys are there to see and talk to you not to know what two of the guys are doing this weekend. A lot of the guys like a model who can be sexy and still manage to stay in control. Ask them if they would be willing to hold of on the side convo till your in a pvt or until your offline and they can talk via email or something. If they are constantly ignoring you after you’ve asked them multiple times to stop. Ignore or kick. I wouldn’t consider banning someone over something like this.

HAIRY SITUATIONS:

To shave or to wax or let it grow?

There’s a “niche” for guys who like hair. If your not comfortable shaving or waxing let it grow. Shaving, there are a bunch of tips for shaving, go with the grain of the hair growth this will cut down on those red bumps and ingrown hair. Use shaving cream. There’s a kind out there called Coochie you can order it offline or find some in a store near you =P Its amazing, and keeps your skin nice and smooth. Nair.. from personal experience, nair doesn’t work. They tell you not to use it down there, but I’ve never had any problems with a reaction or burning once the nair was there. Might want to test that out before you use it on a “delicate” area.

Waxing it’s not for everyone but it cuts back on having to shave every other day.

Laser hair removal. Its expensive but deff worth it.

If your looking to just do up keep (mainly for guys) invest in a trimmer. Not only does it show that you care about your hygiene but it also adds the appearance of an inch onto your money maker lol

CLINGERS_THE GUYS THAT HAVE TO MEET YOU:

I know it sounds really pessimistic and that it might thwart all the joy you have to have him as a regular big spender – this is just my own experience and i thought I’d share.

I’ve heard of this happening a few times mainly members will be in a models room and s/he will trash talk another model. This is rare. If there is someone in your room claiming to be a model and talking trash to you, chances are its a member trying to cause problems. If your convinced that it is a model find a way to contact them and go from there. Main point is we are not each others competition but company, we all work together to help on another out ( I often find myself talking about some of the other girls on the site saying how hot they are and my catch phrase “if i only had a dick” lol.

PROMOTING / SIGNING UP

Right now there is a promotion that they get 120 credits which is an $11.99 value. Which will allow them to have a 2 min pvt show or I think an 8 or 9 min. worth of time if they use it to do voy. All they do is sign up they have to give cc info just so they can verify the person is 18+ so it puts a $1.00 TEMPORARY charge on there cc which is then refunded so it is all actually free Then they can come back to you and use there free time. They are never charged again it is just of file for verification or in case one day they just HAVE To HAVE IT they can push BUY CREDITS NOW.
